Native Idahoan, mother of four and grand-mother of 19 postponed pursuing her passion for art until after her retirement from the J.R. Simplot Company, as a sensory technician, in 2012. At which time she began her studies with Ginger Lantz of Nampa, Idaho and has settled in on the use of pastels and charcoal as her medium. She loves trying to capture the beauty of life in Idaho in her paintings.
She has won several awards for her paintings, including several Best of Show and People’s Choice awards in local art shows.
LaReece prefers painting horses, and can often be found taking pictures at rodeos and horse shows in search of the next perfect subject for her paper and pencils.
